A husband and wife were found dead Friday morning in what Calcasieu deputies are calling a murder-suicide.
Deputies say that at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home at 5832 Bennie Lane in Lake Charles in regards to a man, 52-year-old David M. Pendley who had allegedly stabbed his 24-year-old son.
The son was located at the neighbor’s home and transported to a local hospital. Deputies made entry into the home and located the father and his wife, 59-year-old Katherine Pendley both dead.
Detectives believe this case is a possible murder-suicide where Pendley killed his wife then killed himself.
The son has been released from the hospital.
