The Calcasieu River is now open to recreational boat traffic and the Alligator Park has also reopened, according to officials.
Officials with the office of emergency preparedness say the river’s level has receded and all restrictions have been lifted.
Parish officials issued an Emergency Declaration to close the Calcasieu River on Jan. 4 due to the effects that heavy rains.
Alligator Park closed on Jan. 3, also due to flooding.
