Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two teens in connection with alleged threats against LaGrange High School and Washington Marion High School.
The first, a 15-year-old, was arrested and booked on Thursday with terrorizing after he allegedly made threats that he was going to kill everyone at his school, LaGrange High School. He had been removed from class after a disturbance, deputies say. Later that day there was a social media post uploaded in reference to a possible threat at LaGrange, but after detectives investigated it was determined the post was in reference to the incident that happened earlier in the day and the student had already been arrested.
The next day, on September 21, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were notified about a threat allegedly made by a student at Washington Marion High School. A 16-year-old student allegedly made a social media post threatening to bomb or shoot the school and another school, Molo Middle School.
Deputies found the student at his home and booked him with two counts communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property.
CPSO Detective Seth Abshire is the lead investigator on the cases.
