A Lake Charles man was killed on Tuesday evening after a single-vehicle crash on I-10 East in Sulphur.
Sulphur Police say that 30-year-old Codie Aguillard was traveling on I-10 East around 3:30 pm when for unknown reasons his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Aguillard dead at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
