State traffic officials have taken steps to try to reduce the crashes at a Lake Charles intersection, KPLC reports.
The Department of Transportation and Development made the intersection of La. 397 and Highway 14 a four-way stop, the station reports.
“This is just a temporary solution, the all way stop, it just takes time and so once we get there, then we can remove those all way stops and traffic is going to flow a little bit better,” DOTD spokeswoman Tammy York told KPLC.
The long-term solution is a round-a-bout.
