The Assist Agency has three programs to help people who are struggling financially, struggling due to COVID-19 or still trying to recover from Hurricane Laura.
COVID financial assistance for Acadia, Jeff Davis and Vermilion Parish residents
The Agency received a grant to help Acadia, Jeff Davis and Vermilion Parish residents who are struggling financially due to the coronavirus. The funds are provided by Community Services Block Grant CARES Act funds. Help is available for rent or mortgage, utilities or other necessities.
The COVID-19 virus must have directly affected at least one member of the household that is applying. Written proof that the virus was the cause of the situation is required. Applicants must meet all requirements and live in Acadia, Jeff Davis, or Vermilion Parish. Applicants who received assistance within the last 12 months are not eligible.

Financial assistance in Acadia Parish
The Agency has also received a grant to help Acadia Parish residents struggling financially and need help with their rent or mortgage and utilities.
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program can assist if you have experienced a recent emergency situation and meet eligibility requirements. Many situations can qualify as an emergency, illness, temporary reduction of income, unexpectedly high utility bill, and more.

Hurricane Laura help for Acadia, Vermilion and Jeff Davis parishes
Assist Agency is accepting applications for families directly affected by Hurricane Laura in Acadia Vermilion and Jeff Davis parishes with insurance deductibles on home repairs due to storm damage due to storm damage, rent, and/or utility deposits and other basic support. Evidence of your claim such as FEMA disaster number must be provided.
