A church in Crowley is trying to put the pieces back together after their roof suddenly collapsed Saturday afternoon.
Leaders at Love of Christ Baptist church on Hutchinson Avenue tell KATC that Saturday, the roof of their church cafeteria collapsed, causing extensive damage. Water damage was also reported after broken pipes began to flood the building.
No one was in the building at the time of the collapse and no injuries were reported.
Pastor Corwin Morgan tells KATC that the roof on the building was about 15-year-old. The church bought the building three years ago. It was previously a nursing facility.
Members at the church are now cleaning the building and say they will have services on Sunday morning.
The church is not currently accepting donations but a gofundme is expected to be created sometime next week.
