The Town of Iota now has a box where you can bring American flags that need to be retired.
The box is downtown in front of Red Brick Rentals.
Boy Scout Troop 64 will collect the old tattered flags so they can be properly retired.
“I kind of got tired of seeing American flags in trash cans and just hanging out in all the dumps and stuff, and they needed to be disposed properly,” said Ryan Kuffler, Eagle Scout Troop 64.
