The ASSIST Agency, Inc. has announced that they will be adding additional hours to help with tax preparation.
The agency is currently preparing Federal and State tax returns at no charge for low- to moderate-income individuals and families in Acadia Parish. Appointments are now available after hours, according to officials. Those time are 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm for Thursday, March 14, 2019.
The ASSIST Agency regular tax hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments will be seen on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The ASSIST Agency asks that those coming in for tax preparation have all the necessary documents including ID’s for all adults in the household and Social Security cards for all members of the household. Please have all applicable documents necessary for completing a return (example: forms W-2, 1099, etc.)
