Eddie Laughlin, 55, was booked with revenge pornography and defamation by malicious publication. He remains in the Acadia Parish Jail with bond set at $26,500, records show.

Morse Police Chief Jason Coats said Laughlin is accused of posting photos of a former girlfriend on social media. Crowley Police assisted in the arrest, Coats said.

He allegedly posted the photos and made lewd comments on the photos, the chief said.

It’s illegal to use intimate photos of a former dating partner to try to hurt them, the chief explained.

Under Louisiana law, sharing nude or partially-nude cellphone pictures or videos without permission can result in two years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
