The Acadia Parish Police Jury has made their decisions on ambulance operations in the parish.
Tuesday night, the police jury voted down approval for a permit for MedExpress. The permit would have allowed Med Express to operate an ambulance service in the parish with 911 dispatching.
That permit was voted down 4 -3 with one abstention.
The Police Jury did approve the opportunity for Acadian Ambulance to present how they will improve services to the parish. Those will be discussed at meeting on April 12, 2019.
The vote for Acadian’s approval was 5-3.
