The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal overnight shooting at Kathy Apartment in Crowley.
The sheriff’s department says the shooting happened around 11:00 pm on Tuesday. Deputies say 66-year-old James Francis of Crowley was killed during the shooting.
Francis’ body was located behind the apartments with a single gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner’s Office. Deputies believe there may have been an argument or disturbance prior to the shooting
