Voters gathered Tuesday to meet the candidates for Iota mayor.
The forum Tuesday was held at the Iota Veterans’ Memorial Pavilion.
On the ballot are two Republicans Ian Gall and Cody Leckelt both say they have a plan to move the town forward.
“My heart’s here, went to school here, family is here. I’ve been on the council for a total of 12 years. I have 8 years of alderman at large and four years as mayor pro tem so I just feel that… when I first started as alderman I wanted to be mayor one day and I just feel that the time is right now,” Leckelt said.
“All I wanna do is get in there and try to make Iota even better than it is now, better than it’s ever been. We have a few problems, big and small. I feel like I’m the next leader to lead the way and organize and solve the problems,” said Ian Gall
