RAYNE – The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 15th Annual Gumbo Cook-Off this Saturday.
The event is being held at the Rayne Pavilion.
Participants will be competing for best gumbo. Judging begins at 11 a.m., and gumbo will be served at 11:30 a.m.
A 10-dollar-fee gets you into the gate and allows you to try as much gumbo as you’d like. Over twenty gumbos are being prepared.
Aside from the gumbo, there will be a live performance by Radio Zydeco and face painting and a fun jump for the kids.
By attending the cook-off, you’ll be helping the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce, which helps support local businesses.
