The International Rice Festival is celebrating 82 years in Crowley, and there’s plenty to do.
The Grand Parade left the courthouse at 3 pm., rolling through downtown Crowley. Parade honoree Cecelia Miller Young rode in a “royal” horse and buggy in celebration of her 107th birthday.
She wasn’t the only royalty at the festival. Victoria Callahan, of Crowley, was crowned this year’s International Rice Festival Queen.
Prince Charming was also there. Well, there were a lot of them participating in the frog jumping contest this morning.
If dancing is more of your thing, there’s live entertainment throughout the day.
There’s also no shortage of food.
