UPDATE: A man who was reported missing out of Basile last week is safe.
A spokesperson with the Basile Police Department says 53-year-old Jessie August was located and is in good health.

Police in Basile are searching for a man who was reported missing by family.
Police and family say 53-year-old Jessie August was last seen Tuesday at a family member’s home on Hudson Street.
They say August previously lived in Beaumont, Texas, for years.
According to a relative, August may be in danger.
