Remington College Halloween Event
Remington College is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular. Families can enjoy a fun haunted house, trick or treating and face painting.To add to the fun, Q95.5's DJ Smalls will be broadcasting live. This community event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at Remington College Lafayette Campus, 303 Rue Louis XIV, Lafayette. The event is open to the public.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
This year they are donating all proceeds from the show to Mental Health First Aid in efforts to get an instructor trained to teach Mental Health First Aid in Lafayette Public Schools. It will happen at the Robert D. Sidman Theater- Cité des Arts October 24, 25 and 26 at 10:00 pm, Doors Open at 9:30 pm. Entry: Cash Donation of $10 or more. There will be prop bags for $5. No outside props allowed. The props sold are pre-approved by the theater. Crossroads Church Halloween Alternative
Games, prizes, praise & worship, puppet shows, and candy. Every child goes home with a bag of candy. This will be a fun-filled event with a great message tailored just for kids. THEME: BOARD GAMES Come dressed as your favorite board game character to qualify for the costume contest. Winner receives 400 Jambucks to spend in the KJAM store. Address: 150 Verona Dr., Lafayette. The church asks participants not to wear "scary" or "inappropriate" costumes.

Asbury's Children's Ministry Trunk or Treat
Sunday at 5:00 pm at Asbury's Children's Ministry in Lafayette. Rain or Shine, Dress in your best costume and join them for a night of fun in the Asbury Parking lot. Join them for trunk or treating, games, free popcorn and cotton candy, a photo area and more. You'll also get to vote on your favorite trunk. Please note, no meals will be available, but bring your money for Kona Ice. 17th Annual Safe Halloween for Kids at Le Vieux Village
The event begins at 5:30 pm and lasts until 7:00 pm at 828 E. Landry Street, Opelousas. City of Opelousas Tourism Department hosts a fun filled evening of Halloween activities for the community. Safe Halloween for Kids at Le Vieux Village provides a safe environment for the children of Opelousas and surrounding areas to enjoy trick or treating as they stop at the houses in the village in search of treats. Local businesses and organizations are set up at the houses and around the village where they provide treats for the little ones. Halloween Art and Nature Festival 2019
Free family activity-focused event Saturday October 26, 2019, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m, (Rain date Saturday November 2, 2019) Where: Atelier de la Nature, 1050 Andrew Gautreaux Road, Arnaudville, LA 70512 (off Coteau Rodaire Hwy, north of I-10 Exit 115 Cecilia/Henderson).
Atelier de la Nature, a nine-acre experiment in a farm-returned-to-nature, calls all "Swamp Things" to its annual fall gathering: the Halloween Art and Nature Festival. Mark your calendars now and be prepared from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, to do, discover and experiment in all ways environmentally informative and fun. Expect to see humans of all ages participating, experiencing and leaning about the nature contained within their own backyards, the locally grown food we eat.
This year's lineup of activities* include:

- A "New Generation Seafood Project" workshop on cooking with invasive fish species

About Atelier de la Nature:
Atelier de la Nature begun in 2016 by sustainable food educator Aurore Ballengée, artist and biologist Dr. Brandon Ballengée, and their children Victor and Lily, is today, a former soy field now turned native prairie, hardwood and wetland habitats. It is a partner of the NUNU Arts & Culture Collective, and is within the Cecilia et les Alentours Cultural District. Its goal is to educate about the interconnectedness of the south Louisiana ecosystem. 11:00 am to 4:00 pm held at the Cade Community Center. They will have a live band performance by Gerald Broussard Jr - The Cajun Cowboy and the Stirrups, dance performance by Starz Dance Studio dancers, magic and illusions of Barry Primo, Schoolhouse Safari demonstration and petting zoo, cake walk, costume contest, silent auction, carnival games, fun jump, door prizes, photo booth, and food & drinks will be sold. 100% of proceeds benefit St Jude Children's Reasearch Hospital.

Boo on the Bayou in Breaux Bridge
On October 31, Teche Center for the Arts presents The 7th Annual Boo on the Bayou. A Halloween Community safe trick-or-treat. A designated area of Bridge Street in downtown Breaux Bridge will be closed for the event from 6:00-8:00 pm for children to tric or treat at the businesses along the streets. (Bridge Street-from Washington to Main) Security will be provided by the Breaux Bridge Police Department. Bring the kids to trick or treat in this fun and safe environment. Gueydan Community Outreach Festival
Gueydan is hosting their second Gueydan Community Outreach Festival on Saturday, October 26 from 8 am to 7 pm. Gueydan's Community Outreach Festival is designed to bring the people of Gueydan and Vermilion Parish together. Held on the City Hall grounds (600 Main Street), this event will host live music, individual garage sales, and fun day for the whole family. All that want to participate, by setting up a table/booth to sell their garage sale items/food, are invited. Space to sell your items or food is free, but vendors need to provide their own tables. The first band will begin at 9 am and kids' activities will be available throughout the day.
