WATCH LIVE: Tornado Warnings and Watches issued in South Louisiana

Tornado Watches and Warnings issued for much of South Louisiana as a strong line of thunderstorms pushed through the area Thursday morning.

Moving quickly through the area, the National Weather Service has extended the Tornado Watch to the parishes Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Iberia until 6:00 pm.

A tornado WARNING issued at 10:15 am for the west-central portions of Lafayette Parish, Southeastern Acadia Parish and North Central Vermilion Parish until 10:45 am.

The tornado WATCH first issued for Acadia Parish and Vermilion Parish has been extended until 2:00 pm. A Flash Flood warning has been issued for Lafayette Parish and Vermilion Parish until 2:15 pm. Locations that may experience flooding include Lafayette, Scott, Carencro, Kaplan, Broussard, Youngsville, Duson, Maurice, Wright, Indian Bayou, Ridge, and Milton.

One to three inches of rain is possible in some areas due to extended rainfall.

The Tornado WATCH issued for Evangeline, Allen, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis has been canceled, according to the National Weather Service
