The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office have requested six charges of attempted first degree murder be declined by the judge setting bond in Tuesday's standoff in Branch.
Sheriff K.P. Gibson said after deputies continued their investigation it was determined that the defendant in the standoff did not fire shots at deputies.
Those charges have been removed by the magistrate at the request of police.
Other charges still remain, Gibson said.
