A back to school giveaway and seminar will be held for middle and high school students on Friday, August 15, in Crowley.
The event, which will offer school supplies and tips for a successful school year, will take place at 6:00 pm outside the Martin Luther King Building on W. Hutchinson Ave.
Free backpacks with school supplies will be given away to students.
The National Association of University Women, which has organized the event, says that students must be present to receive a backpack and that parents are encouraged to attend.
Backpacks will only be available while supplies last.
Masks must be worn to the event and social distancing will be required. The event is only for middle and high school students.
