ACADIA PARISH, La. — Today, Acadia Parish students and teachers will begin a four-day work week.
The Acadia Parish School Board approved the change back in January.
Teachers and students in Acadia will now have Mondays off.
School days will also be extended to make up for lost instructional time.
Superintendent Scott Richard told us that one of the reasons for the change was burnout.
