Described as "a gym membership for the mind," Headspace is a meditation app aimed at decreasing stress and promoting movement and sound sleep.

It specializes in daily 10 minute meditations, focusing on a range of topics from your basic foundation building, to more specific meditations about relationships, goals, even sports.

You can choose a voice to guide you through your meditations...

Whether you've meditated every day of your life or never once before, the app will cater to your needs. It even has tracks for kids.

You'll find guidance to help you start your day, workouts to help you feel centered and something to ease your mind when it's time to go to sleep.

Your first two weeks on Headspace are always free, but right now, anybody can access a collection called 'Weathering the Storm,' in an effort to create a sense of calm in uncertain times.

For the time being, US based healthcare professionals working in public health can get a free subscription to Headspace plus by visiting this website and enroll using their national provider identifier (NPI).
