Abby's Apps explains Games Across Acadiana Virtual Scavenger Hunt

and last updated

To celebrate 20 years of Games of Acadiana, this year Miles Perret Cancer Services wants the whole community to get involved in a 20 day virtual scavenger hunt.

The app used for the scavenger hunt is called GooseChase and you'll need to create an account to save your progress.

Then the fun begins. The hunt consists of about 50 "missions." Each mission has a point value and the goal is to get 10,000 points, earning you an entry into the prize drawing.

Missions can be done individually or as a group. You can be the Y in the Lafayette sign for 700 points, visit another parish for 350 points, share a pet pic, or spell your name in Q tips for 250.

The list goes on with varying point levels for different missions.

Complete all 50 missions and you'll earn 30,000 points or three 3 entries to win a prize. The hunt is free but you can also donate 20 dollars for an entry.

On August 29th, scavenger hunt participants can head over to the Miles Perret Cancer Services Facebook to watch 50 prizes, including 10,000 dollars given away live.
