When it comes dinnertime, sometimes you end up driving around forever just trying to pick a place to eat. The creator of this week's Abby's app says his pre-dinner conversations with his fiance had him thinking there must be an easier way.
"I'll mention a place and she'll be like no not that place, then she'll mention a place and I'll be like no not that place. And it's like 45 minutes back and forth just to pick a place to eat," says app creator Joseph Kokenge.
Dinner Decider is the app that makes these decisions simple.
"It's basically a cross between tinder and yelp," says Kokenge.
Once you're in the app, you can decide to "host" a decision. you'll choose what meal you want, what you're looking to spend, how far you're willing to travel and what time you want to go.
To share with a friend, they can scan the QR code or send the link, then, you'll get to choosing!
The app shows you and your buddy six restaurants that best fit your criteria. You'll each rank the options with one to five stars and Dinner Decider will show you the best compromise.
If you'd like to spend a little more, the app will show you more than six options and the app's creator says he is still improving the product open to any suggestions you might have.
