Baby formula sold at Walmart recalled over metal concerns

The Perrigo Company plc has issued a nationwide voluntary recall on baby formula sold at Walmart over the potential presence of “metal foreign matter.”

The recall affects over 23,000 containers of 35-ounce, 992-gram Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron.

The product was sold exclusively at Walmart stores across the country.

No adverse events have been reported, according to the FDA. The recall was issued out of an abundance of caution. No other products are affected by the recall.

Consumers who purchased the product should look for the Lot Code C26EVFV with the “Use by” date of February 26, 2021. This information can be found on the bottom of the package.

Anyone who purchased a recalled product should return it to a Walmart store for a refund.
