Monday night into Tuesday morning a rare, June “cool” front will push drier and slightly cooler air into Acadiana leading to a few pleasant days this week.
Behind the front on Tuesday highs will be below average in the mid 80s and with dew points in the lower 60s making it will feel really comfortable to be outside.
Tuesday night lows will then fall into the low to mid 60s!
Wednesday afternoon it will be warm with highs in the upper 80s but thanks to the dry air still in place it will be another nice day with low humidity.
A second cool front arrives on Thursday re-enforcing the dry air in place over Acadiana and will clear out the clouds allowing for bright sunny skies warming temperatures back to near 90.
Friday highs return to the lower 90s with a touch more humidity as surface winds begin to turn out of the east southeast.
By the weekend it will be back to feeling like summer with the heat and humidity in full force pushing feel like temperatures into the triple digits again.
To go along with the heat and humidity a few pop-up showers will return Saturday and Sunday but I would not cancel any Father’s Day tee times or fishing trips as rain chances will only be at about 20% or less.
Slightly higher rain chances at 30-40% arrive the following Tuesday and Wednesday as our next front tries to swing into the region.
