The Smoked Meat Festival started in 1992 dedicated to the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Association. The two day festival is held in Ville Platte, LA also known as the “Smoked Meat Capital of the World.” Today, the festival is hosted by the Viande Boucanne’ Inc. and the Ville Platte Lions Club whose goal is to honor ALL Military Veterans.
