NEW IBERIA, La. – The LSU AgCenter is promoting agriculture awareness by hosting Ag Adventures at the SugArena in New Iberia.
Today, Iberia Parish students visited the arena for hands-on lessons on local crops and farm animals.
“We have stations on entemology, beekeeping,” said Maddox Miller, 4-H Agent, Iberia Parish. “We have different livestock stations. We have some wetland conservation. We have a horse station and also some sugarcane, so just a broad overview of the agricultural commodities that are in Louisiana.”
The Ag Adventure will continue on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
