The banner weather continues Sunday, creating a fantastic finish to Festival International 2019.

Another outstanding day for Festival

Again, with lots of sunshine temperatures will be a tad on the warm side during the middle of the afternoon so remember to mix in water to stay hydrated and to wear a hat and sunscreen.

Heading back to school and work on Monday puffy cumulus clouds will start to build back over Acadiana but it will still be a nice day with highs in the mid 80s.

As we move into the final days of April temperatures are warming up

The thing you will notice this week is humidity levels will be on the rise as winds will be steady out of the southeast pump lots of Gulf of Mexico moisture over Acadiana.

As we move into this warm and humid pattern one or two stray showers will be possible during the afternoon Monday through Wednesday but overall rain chances will only be about 10-20%.

The best chance for widespread showers and maybe a thunderstorm will be Thursday afternoon/evening as a weak cool front slowly slides down through the pelican state.

Scattered showers return to the forecast on Thursday

A few showers could linger into Friday as the remnants of the front remain draped over Acadiana but rain chances only look to be about 30% for the day.

A couple hit or miss showers could stick around for Friday

Looking ahead to next weekend we will have a mix of sun and clouds both and highs in the low to mid 80s and rain chances only at about 10% each day so no issues for any outdoor activities.
