NASHVILLE (KATC) – Ragin’ Cajun speedster Keeli Milligan was selected with the 25th-overall pick by the USSSA Pride in the National Pro Fastpitch league’s college draft.

Milligan is hitting .347 and is second in the nation with 44 stolen bases. She has more than 140 career stolen bases. She was the final pick of the fifth and final round Monday night.

“We are extremely excited about Keeli being drafted and to have the opportunity to continue her playing career after college,” said Louisiana Softball head coach Gerry Glasco in a statement Monday. “Her speed, and the immediate impact she can have on any game, is amazing and a thrill to watch.

The National Pro Fastpitch is a five-team professional softball league based out of Nasvhille. The last Cajun to be drafted was Lexi Elkton who was drafted with the number one overall selection in 2016.
