A 37-year-old Texas man wanted for the death of his wife was arrested in Cecilia Wednesday.

Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a request for assistance Tuesday evening from authorities with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office in Texas in locating Quang Do, according to Major Ginny Higgins, spokesperson for the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office.

Do fled Fort Bend County following the homicide of his wife, Jenihonganh Thuy Nguyen, along with their two young children.

Early this morning, he was located at a residence in the 1000 block of Madeline Boulevard, Cecilia, and following the execution of the warrant, he was arrested with the assistance of the St. Martin Parish S.W.A.T. Team, stated Higgins.

The children were also located safely inside the residence.

Following his arrest, he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail on one count of first-degree murder and will be extradited at a later date by authorities with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
