Women’s clothing retailer Charlotte Russe has announced that it will close all of its retail stores and begin liquidation sales.
The announcement comes after the company filed for bankruptcy protection in February and said that it would plan to close 94 of its 500 store locations. Two of the stores set to close were located in New Orleans and Slidell, according to The Advocate.
Now, all Charlotte Russe locations will close, including the Acadiana Mall location. Going out of business sales begin on March 7. The company’s website says all sales made at stores will be final.
Stores are expected to close by April 30, according to USA Today. The online retail store has already closed.
Charlotte Russe employs 8,700 people.
The closures are the latest among national clothing retailers. Gap announced a round of closures, including stores in the Acadiana Mall, late last year, and Maurice’s closed a number of stores, including one of its Lafayette locations.
