A voluntary recall has been issued for ‘Baby Gripe Water’ sold at Dollar General stores across the country due to potential choking hazards.

The herbal supplement, according to the FDA, could contain an undissolved ingredient, citrus flavonoid, which may make swallowing the product difficult. The product is not considered hazardous, according to the FDA.

Kingston Pharma, LLC has received one report of a one-week-old infant having difficulty swallowing the product and three more complaints about the undissolved citrus flavonoid.

Consumers are asked to immediately stop use and discard the product.

The recall affects all lots of “DG Baby Grip Water herbal supplement with organic ginger and fennel extracts.” The product is packed in 4-ounce amber bottles with white caps with the UPC code 8 5495400246 3. The FDA says the product was distributed throughout the United States.
