LAKE CHARLES, La. – Four teens were arrested in Lake Charles following a shooting on West 18th Street.
On Monday, February 4, 2019, at 1:41 am, the Lake Charles Police Dept. was assigned to the 600 block of West 18th Street in reference to a shooting. During the course of the initial investigation, officers learned a 14-year-old girl sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds and was treated at a local hospital, according to Sergeant Brenda Desormeaux, spokesperson for Lake Charles Police Dept.
After a subsequent investigation, investigators with the Lake Charles Police Department arrested the following:
Robric O’Neal Dixon, 18, of Lake Charles, was arrested on charges of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles (while in the commission of a violent act) (six counts), and illegal possession of stolen things (one count). Judge Robert Wyatt set Dixon’s bond at $12,500.
Two 16-year-old males were charged with possession of a firearm. Both of these juveniles are currently on juvenile probation, according to Desormeaux.
A 15-year-old male was charged with illegal possession of stolen things.
