Susan Fisher with the St. Landry-Evangeline United Way Women United stopped by GMA today to talk about the 7th annual Women with Heart Luncheon.
The luncheon will feature the famous “Power of the Purse” auction, and keynote speaker Karen Roy, Ms. Wheelchair America 2019. Roy was a victim of an armed robbery in 1987 and sustained a spinal cord injury. She will be speaking out for the health and wellness of people with disabilities, “standing up” for the rights of the disabled to have access to the complex rehabilitation they need and deserve.
All of the funds raised will support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in St. Landry and Evangeline parishes.
Join these ladies to pay tribute to the 2019 Woman With Heart from St. Landry Parish and Woman With Heart from Evangeline Parish.
The event will take place at the Opelousas Civic Center on Friday, February 15th at 11am.
