Lafayette Police have arrested a man wanted in connection to a shooting last month on Hamner Avenue.
Kemyon Alexander was arrested Thursday in connection to the shooting on January 12, 2019. A man was shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. His injuries were non-life-threatening, according to police.
At the time of the incident, police say that the victim, a 39-year-old man, was refusing to cooperate with police.
Police believe the shooting took place during a possible drug transaction.
After an investigation, Alexander was arrested and booked on a charge of attempted first-degree murder along with two drug charges.
His bond is set at $165,000.
