UPDATE: Missing woman has been located by Baton Rouge Police

UPDATE: Baton Rouge Police say that the missing woman Daisy Hardy has been located and is safe.

Police in Baton Rouge are searching for a missing woman they say is believed to have dementia and diabetes.

The Baton Rouge Police Department says they are attempting to locate 79-year-old Daisy Hardy who was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Zachary area. She was driving a 2013 white Cadillac CTS with the Louisiana license plate XGK123.

State police have issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the city’s police department.

Family members brought Ms. Hardy to Lane Regional Medical Center for evaluation when she became upset and fled the area in her vehicle. Hardy is believed to have early stages of dementia and diabetes.

Hardy has silver hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’6” tall and weighs about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red button-up blouse, black slacks, and a black beanie cap.
