A Lafayette couple is recovering after their vehicle fell from a parking garage in Metairie on Saturday.
According to WDSU, the couple was looking for a parking spot at the Hampton Inn parking garage on North Causeway Boulevard, when the driver lost control of the car and drove through a wall, landing upside down.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says the fall was about 30 feet. The man and woman, from Lafayette, were taken to the hospital but are both in stable condition.
The Advocate reports that the man and woman have been identified as 73-year-old Dalton Bergeron and 71-year-old Kim Bergeron.
