Tomorrow, President Donald Trump will pardon one of the two turkeys chosen to be spared this Thanksgiving.
The two lucky birds named Peas and Carrots were selected from a turkey farm in Western Minnesota and arrived in Washington, D.C. on Sunday. One of the turkeys will ultimately receive a presidential pardon, but which one is up to the public.
The White House is putting the decision in the hands of the American people to decide which of the two turkeys will get to bask in the Pre-Thanksgiving Day spotlight. So far, almost 40,000 votes have been made via the White House’s Twitter page.
There’s still time to place your vote on which turkey you’d like to see pardoned. It may just come down to whether you prefer peas or carrots as a side on Thanksgiving Day.
Voting ends on Tuesday morning.

The President will pardon the winning turkey in a ceremony at The White House on Tuesday morning. Both turkeys, regardless of pardon, will go on to live the rest of their lives at Virginia Tech’s “Gobblers Rest” exhibit in Virginia.
President Trump granted his first presidential turkey pardon to “Drumstick” during last year’s ceremony.
