The New Iberia Police Department says they have arrested a person in connection with a shooting on Hopkins street last week.
Police say the shooting occurred on October 24, 2018, in the area of South Hopkins Street and Lombard Street.
Investigators obtained a warrant of arrest on 20-year-old Tyrell Joseph James for attempted first-degree murder.
James turned himself in at New Iberia Police Department.
He was booked in Iberia Parish Jail.
