Continuing our GMA on the Road series we are now on to Vermilion parish to get ready for the omelet festival this weekend in Abbeville.
While you are in town for the festival you might want to check out the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum.
The museum is located in a hanger on the back side of the Chris Crusta Memorial Airport in Abbeville.
This museum is the only one to honor all veterans, both past and present, from Louisiana.
While at the museum you will be able to see and interact with several retired tanks, Jeeps, a Higgins boat, Army helicopter and other military memorabilia.
Video on display at the museum immortalizes the stories of Louisiana Veterans and their time in service to our country.
In the center of the museum is the Hall of Fame which honors the 14 military members from Louisiana to receive the medal of honor for their bravery and sacrifice.
The museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
