The  Ragin’ Cajuns Soccer head coach Scot Wieland has resigned his position and will not return for the 2019 season, according to Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard.

“We greatly appreciate Scot’s efforts in leading the Louisiana Soccer program, and for being a positive influence in the lives of so many student-athletes,” Maggard said.  “We wish Scot the very best with his future endeavors.”

Wieland led the Ragin’ Cajuns for 14 seasons (2005-18), compiling a 93-143-32 record, according to a release.

Louisiana Athletics will immediately begin a national search for its next head coach. Assistant coach Lisa Mann will serve as the acting director of the Soccer program during the search process.
