BREAUX BRIDGE – The Shake Your Trail Feather Festival is getting people to have fun outdoors while raising money for bayou conservation.
Hosted by the TECHE Project at Parc des Ponts Breaux, the seventh annual festival offered bike and paddle trips, the Best Bayou Bird Costume Contest, activities for kids, and live music.
Food and beverages were also sold.
Volunteers with the TECHE Project have removed over 53 tons of trash from the bayou and manages the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail, which is the first National Water Trail in Louisiana.
