UPDATE: A male victim was injured in a shooting at the Axis Student Living apartment complex, formerly known as Campus Crossings, in Lafayette.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
According to a spokeswoman with the police department, a person in an upstairs apartment shot a gun, and the bullet struck someone in a downstairs apartment.
At this time, the circumstances of the shooting are still being investigated.
No arrests have been made.
The complex is located on Theater Street, near the intersection of Congress Street and Bertrand Street.
