A 12-year-old has been arrested for in connection with an alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Jeanerette.
Jeanerette Marshal Fernest Martin says that the boy was arrested for armed robbery at a local convenience store.
Marshal Martin states that the juvenile entered the store with a small caliber handgun and demanded money from the store clerk.
Officers were able to identify the suspect with assistance from video surveillance. The suspect is being detained at a local juvenile facility at this time.
