Happening today, Second Harvest Food Bank will be raising awareness for the fight against hunger by lighting up buildings across the state with orange lights. Earlier this month, Governor John Bel Edwards declared September “Hunger Action Month,” making orange the official color for hunger awareness. Lafayette will be taking part in the movement by lighting up the egg at the Lite Center. Several other initiatives were put into place this month- you can see them by heading to hungeractionmonth.org.
