In a tweet, Perry called on Owens to join the cast of his OWN drama series “The Haves and Have Nots” saying, “I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs. The measure of a true artist.”

Perry told ABC News that Owens would have a recurring role on the 10th season of his show which is currently in production.
But Perry wasn’t the only one to offer Owens a job. On Tuesday, ABC News confirmed that the 57-year-old actor would also be appearing in a guest starring role on “NCIS: New Orleans.”
The woman who originally posted the photo of Owens working as a clerk at Trader Joe’s later told a New Jersey newspaper that she didn’t mean any ill will to Owens. She shut down all of her social media sites after receiving negative responses from others.
