In response to Nike’s new ad featuring Colin Kaepernick, Donald Trump, Jr. has created his own version featuring his father President Donald Trump.
Don Jr.’s version of the ad was posted to his Instagram on Wednesday. The image closely resembles Nike’s original ad with the use of the quote, “Believe in something. Even it if means sacrificing everything.” The image of Kaepernick, however, has been replaced with a black and white image of the president.
The photo was posted to the social media site with the caption, “There, fixed it for you.”
The ad featuring Kaepernick was created for the 30th anniversary of Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign. Since its release, several videos have emerged showing people across the country burning their Nike apparel in protest of the company’s decision to use the former NFL player.
Kaepernick garnered national attention and anger from many Americans after he began kneeling during the national anthem at NFL games. Kaepernick said that the intention of kneeling was to bring awareness to racial injustices, namely police brutality against African-Americans.
President Trump also shared his thoughts on Nike’s ad in a tweet yesterday saying, “like the NFL…Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts.”
Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way? As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will, until they stand for the FLAG!

Despite the anger and boycotts, many have shared their support for Kaepernick and Nike for the ad.
A full commercial featuring Kaepernick is expected to air during the NFL’s Thursday night season opener. View the full ad, here.
