Lafayette Transit System officials say the Ride Acadiana program had a great start.
A total of 262 people used the new route last week, including a one day high of 67 on Wednesday alone.
All rides were free during the routes first week.
Ride Acadiana has stops in Crowley, Rayne, Duson, Scott and Lafayette, with multiple runs throughout the day, Monday-Friday.
