UPDATE: Police have closed I-10 eastbound at I-49 due to a crash near Henderson. I-10 westbound has been closed for several hours. The closure is to allow crews to offload hazardous material from the crashed 18-wheeler.
Westbound traffic is being diverted at LA 415 (Lobdell) to US 190 West.
Eastbound traffic is being diverted onto I-49 North to US 190 East. Congestion remains to Ambassador Caffery Pkwy.
There is no timeline on the closure at this time, according to state police.
According to DOTD, I-10 West is closed at mile marker 117 before Henderson due to a crash involving an overturned 18-wheeler.
Lousiana State Police say the 18-wheeler was carrying hazardous material Traffic will be diverted to US 190.
Congestion is currently approaching LA 1.
